Manningtree has always been home for both of us, and we've known each other through family and friends for as long as we can remember. With a close-knit community where everyone knows everyone, it was only a matter of time before our paths were going to cross. 

Alice and Brad's love story started in early 2016 when they met through family friends. Fast forward to a romantic getaway in Meribel, France, where a heartfelt proposal took place at the top of a mountain, surrounded by friends and a celebratory glass of champagne.

I remember Jas + Milo both saying how they wanted to have everything around the day super chilled, with minimal formal group shots, no formal structure, just an organic flow of the day however it goes… Yasssss I thought!!

Ahh I love this family as I have photographed them so many times. It was their second time having a family shoot and not only that.. I photographed Chantelle and James’ wedding the year before too.

Despite them being super loyal and wonderful clients by returning again, their boys always make us laugh as they are ‘typical boys’ who are not as enthused as their parents for having another photoshoot. But hey, we don’t do anything formal or posed - we have fun and we cracked smiles through running and hiding in bushed as we went for a huge evening walk!!

Pre wedding shoots (or engagement shoots if you prefer to call them that- I don’t tend to as most couples are very much along the engagement journey by the time they have one of these shoots!) is are optional in my wedding packages as an add-on.

The two main benefits of having a PWS is 1. you get to have a little practice run in front of the camera so that you both feel less daunted (and usually surprisingly rather chilled) by the actual concept of having a few images which possibly includes a public display of affection on your wedding day - by public I literally mean me! I do take couples off so that you don’t have an audience of your friends and family (and some ribbing from any over intoxicated groomsmen), and 2. we - as in the pair of you, and I, get to know each other that little bit more- again building that relationship prior to your big day.

Ahh I love this, so so much!! There is nothing more beautiful than a mama and her baby, in a rural field with nothing around them other than the sound of nature, a gorgeous low sun and some quiet time to breastfeed.

These are one of my favourite kind of family shoots; where it incorporates an indoor/ outdoor element aspect giving you a both beautiful variety of images within your gallery, and of your children’s personalities - because of course children will play, explore and naturally do things differently in the great outdoors opposed to being inside.

Kelly and Nyall are one of the most chilled couples I have met. They went for a festival styled wedding breaking many of the formal traditions, including even having their speeches outside in the beautiful gardens of Houchins Wedding Venue, with the sun beaming down on their guests who were enjoying a glass of fizz and canapés!!
