Château Rigaud is a historic château located in the Bordeaux wine region of France. It is renowned for its picturesque setting, luxurious accommodation, and its significance in the wine industry. The château is an exclusive wedding venue and has multiple areas for you and your guests to enjoy which facilities a natural transition throughout the whole day, or weekend of joyful celebrations. The incredible team are all on hand, along with their in house Chef (I concur the food is devine), you will not be disappointed by the wow factor this venue offers.

ERIN AND CHANDLER

Erin and Chandler, an American couple, had visited been the Bordeaux region together in January 2020 and fell in love with the area. They chose Chateau Rigaud wedding venue because the venue allowed them to gather their closest family and friends, many from the United States, for a long weekend filled with celebration.

The wedding day itself was a glorious summers day with the sun beating down all day long. It consisted of a beautiful outdoor ceremony, with their nearest and dearest. Followed by an elegant reception on the rear terrace serving signature cocktails, seared scallops with celeriac puree, and a whole host of delicious canapés. We had some family photos, a gentle walk around the stunning grounds, and adopted a laid back approach in view of the bearing mid afternoon heat.

A little while later, Chloe revealed the beautiful wedding breakfast set up to Erin and Chandler ahead of their guests entering the barn. Here they had their first dance, and all sat down for speeches.

Into the evening, we were of course delighted with a stunning sunset, and swiftly into the evening of celebrations involved some bare feet dancing, chair lifting (see below) and the tradional knocking of the crouquembouche with a sword. It was such a pleasure to be part of this wedding, as I have a real love of destination weddings.
