A Luxury Norfolk Countryside Wedding

Beth & Sam’s Black Tie Church Ceremony & Private Marquee Reception

Modern love stories don’t always begin in grand ballrooms or across crowded bars.

Beth and Sam met on Hinge in 2022 — a swipe-right romance that quickly turned into something far more meaningful. What began as a digital introduction soon became a deeply rooted partnership, grounded in shared values and an unmistakable sense of certainty.

Just a few years later, they gathered 125 of their closest family and friends for a beautifully refined Norfolk countryside wedding that blended timeless tradition with personal significance.

A Romantic Church Ceremony at St Andrew’s, Hingham

Beth and Sam were married at St Andrew's Church, a historic Norfolk church set in the heart of Hingham.

At 2pm, guests filled the pews as acoustic vocals from Sorsha Seven echoed softly through the church.

Beth arrived with her father in a classic old sports car — a cinematic and nostalgic entrance that perfectly suited the setting. In one of the most joyful and unexpected moments of the ceremony, their beloved dog ran down the aisle carrying their rings — a surprise that only a handful of family members knew about in advance.

Confetti followed outside the church doors, creating that timeless English wedding moment beneath open Norfolk skies.

A Private Marquee Wedding at the Bride’s Family Home

The reception took place at Beth’s childhood home  — a decision rooted entirely in sentiment.

There was nowhere else she wanted to celebrate. The garden held years of memories, and Sam knew how much it meant to her to marry there.

A luxury marquee transformed the family home into an elegant reception space, complete with layered tablescapes, refined glassware and abundant white and green florals. The overall aesthetic was quintessential English countryside wedding, elevated with black tie sophistication.

Guests dined beneath soft draping and chandeliers, while views across the Norfolk farmland created a sense of openness and calm.

Black Tie Meets English Garden Elegance

The dress code was black tie — instantly adding a level of formality and polish to the rural setting.

Beth wore a bespoke gown handmade by Emma Beaumont, with a timeless silhouette that felt both classic and couture. She paired her dress with statement heels by Amina Muaddi and elegant jewellery by Missoma.

The bridesmaids wore individually chosen butter yellow gowns, creating subtle variation while maintaining cohesion. The groomsmen wore tailored suits from Moss Bros, keeping the look sharp and traditional.

Florals by Bracken and Twine Flowers featured predominantly whites and greens — timeless, textural and effortlessly romantic.

A Wildflower Field & Editorial Couple Portraits

One of the most personal elements of the day was the wildflower strip grown by Beth’s parents in one of the surrounding fields. In June bloom, it provided the most beautiful natural backdrop for golden-hour portraits.

We also captured moments with the classic sports car as they arrived at the reception and later departed — images that felt cinematic, nostalgic and editorial.

For couples planning a Norfolk marquee wedding, access to open countryside offers endless opportunity for natural, light-filled portraiture.

An Unforgettable First Dance

Beth and Sam took to the dance floor for their first dance to “Heaven” by DJ Sammy.

What began as a slow, romantic sway transformed into an upbeat remix as confetti cannons erupted above them. The shift in energy was electric — the groomsmen had been waiting for that exact cue.

The dance floor filled instantly. Confetti rained down. The marquee came alive.

A Thoughtfully Curated Norfolk Wedding

Behind the scenes, the day flowed seamlessly under the guidance of wedding planner Emily Andrew, with catering and hospitality teams ensuring every detail was considered.

Beth later changed into a second outfit before the first dance, marking the transition from refined wedding breakfast to full evening celebration.

Beth & Sam’s Wedding Planning Advice

Start planning earlier than you think.

A marquee wedding at home requires coordination, logistics and trusted suppliers — and the earlier you secure them, the more enjoyable the process becomes.
